VG/PG Ratio
The ratio of your nic shot matters because it slightly shifts the finished liquid when blended with your shortfill. Adding 10ml of one ratio to 50ml of another changes the overall blend, which can affect cloud production, throat hit, and how your coil handles the liquid.
- 50/50 variant: best suited to pod kits and MTL (mouth-to-lung) devices. Produces a thinner finished mix with a tighter draw and modest vapour.
- 70/30 variant: better suited to sub-ohm kits and direct-lung devices. Keeps the finished mix thicker, preserving cloud density.
Adding a 50/50 nic shot to a 70/30 shortfill shifts the finished blend to roughly 65/35 or 60/40. For most vapers this difference is small enough to be negligible, but if you're running a high-powered sub-ohm setup and want to maintain full cloud performance, matching ratios as closely as possible is the better call.
