About Mesh Coils
Because mesh coils have a greater surface area than regular coils, they heat more evenly and therefore can withstand higher wattage and temperatures without burning out. They are also flatter than coils made of wire, which means that they have a more even contact with the wick and e-liquid. As a result, mesh coils do not create pools of condensed e-liquid on the wicking material. These factors make mesh the ideal coil choice for sub-ohm vapers.
What are the benefits of building a coil using mesh? Mesh coils are made of a thin strip of metal with evenly spaced holes punched in it. Arranged in a cylindrical shape, these coils take up little space in the device's tank but have a high surface area for better heat distribution. This makes them perfect for sub-ohm vaping because they can handle large amounts of power and high heat without heating unevenly and creating burnt spots on the wicking material.
